Which NFL teams are in trouble right now?
The Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns are the only two teams that have yet to win their final two games of the season, while the New York Jets are the other one to remain undefeated.
Here’s a look at the five teams that could have a tough season and how they fared in the early part of the year.
Detroit Lions The Lions finished the season 8-8.
The team finished the year 9-7, but after losing starting quarterback Matthew Stafford to a season-ending injury in Week 1, it struggled through the early parts of the next year.
The Lions didn’t have a win until Week 8, but they finished 9-6 and were the only team to make the playoffs after Week 12.
Stafford missed the Lions’ Week 14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of a shoulder injury.
The Detroit offensive line struggled early in the season and they didn’t play well during the playoffs.
They finished the regular season 9-5.
Detroit also didn’t win a game during the regular seasons final three games, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons in Week 16.
The Browns lost quarterback Johnny Manziel to a hamstring injury in the second half of the regular-season finale.
They went 1-7 in the playoffs, losing in the wild-card round to the Atlanta Falcons.
The NFL playoffs are a long way off, but the Browns will have to be more patient this year than they were in 2016, when they were outscored by 1,800 points and had to win three games in a row to get there.
Miami Dolphins The Miami Dolphins finished the 2016 season 9.5-6.
They were 8-6 after winning the NFC South division, but lost quarterback Ryan Tannehill in Week 11 after going 3-2 with a 2.73 ERA and four shutouts.
Tanne Hill has been suspended for the first three games of this season.
Tannes health issues are not believed to be related to his injury in Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Panthers.
The Dolphins finished 10-6, but a winless stretch in early March is an issue.
Tanns health issues were a factor in the Dolphins season-long 1-11 start.
They are currently tied for fourth place in the AFC East with Jacksonville and Miami.
Buffalo Bills The Bills finished the 2017 season 9 and 7.
The Bills were 10-5 at the time, but have since won only four of their past 16 games, falling in the Wild Card round to Green Bay.
The Buffalo defense struggled in the regular and postseason, allowing an average of 5.8 yards per play and allowing a whopping 24.8 points per game.
The quarterback situation for Buffalo is not ideal, with Geno Smith having a career-worst 15 interceptions.
New York Giants The Giants finished the first half of 2017 with the worst record in the NFL, with a 5-11 record.
They haven’t been able to find a rhythm since the trade of quarterback Eli Manning to the Carolina Panthers in December, and the team hasn’t won since October 1.
The Giants were 0-4 in the postseason.
The loss of quarterback Jake Locker to the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 was the biggest blow of the offseason, and their struggles in the playoff hunt were made worse by the absence of the top offensive talent at wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham has been ruled out of the playoffs due to a concussion and a knee injury.
They also have been without cornerback Janoris Jenkins and defensive tackle Damon Harrison for the past two weeks.
New England Patriots The Patriots finished the 2018 season 7-9 and were tied for first place in AFC East after winning their final four games.
They struggled through a 10-game losing streak, but bounced back to finish 8-7.
New coach Bill Belichick has made a habit of making big changes to his starting quarterback rotation, and this year it will be a tough one.
With no clear franchise quarterback on the roster, the Patriots are likely looking at veteran backup Tom Brady to replace Manning.
Brady had a strong first season with the Patriots, completing 67.4 percent of his passes for 1,764 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Brady will be tested by veteran defensive end Chandler Jones.
The Patriots are 2-5 since their Week 13 loss to Carolina, but with the addition of rookie safety Malcolm Butler, who had one interception, the team should be better this year.
Pittsburgh Steelers The Steelers finished the 2015 season 9, 8-5, and were 8 1/2 games back of the first wild-Card spot in the division.
The Steelers went 9-3, but their struggles continued with a 10th-place finish in the conference.
Pittsburgh is 3-1 in the preseason, and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is on pace for his second NFL season with 4,955 passing yards.
He completed 66.5 percent of those passes for 3,894 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Pittsburgh has been without running back Le’Veon Bell for the last three weeks with
