Nissan unveils ‘rogue’ sports car, ‘Rugby’ SUV, in Japan
Nissan has unveiled a sports car that is reminiscent of a Japanese military tank.
The Rogue Sport Concept is a futuristic sports car made up of three large, flat wheels and a roof that can be raised to increase its height, the Guardian reported.
The vehicle, which is priced at just over $1 million, will debut in Japan later this year.
Nissan unveiled the Rogue Sport concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, which took place earlier this month.
The Rogue Sports Concept has three large flat wheels that can fold down into a “rogue” sport car that can rise to a height of 1,800 metres.
It has a range of 3,600km and can go from zero to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, according to Nissan.
Nissan says the Rogue sports car will offer more than 50km/hr of range on the highway.
“It has the capability to go from 0 to 100 kilometers/h with no more than three minutes of stopping,” said Nissan.
“It is built for speed.
It is a true sports car.”
Nissan’s plan to make the Rogue sport car available to the Japanese market is part of its effort to increase the sales of its Japanese rival, Toyota.
Nissan has recently launched a car that has the same engine and transmission as the Rogue Sports car, and is priced around $1.8 million.
Toyota has previously announced plans to introduce its new electric cars to the US market.
