Lexus announces ‘Lexus Super Sport’ for 2017 model year
The Lexus brand has announced the introduction of its new super sport-tuned sedan, the Lexus SuperSport.
The Lexus super sports sedan will be available in the US beginning in 2019.
The new model will offer a range of performance, fuel economy, and fuel efficiency improvements.
Lexus will also offer a number of new technologies to help consumers optimize their vehicle performance and fuel economy.
The company said that the new Super Sport will deliver a higher-than-average fuel economy of 15.5 mpg (27.1 L/100 km), and an overall fuel economy score of 16.9 mpg.
This translates into a combined average fuel economy rating of 19.2 mpg in the city, and 17.4 mpg on the highway.
The Super Sport is powered by a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder, four-cyloyl engine producing 247 horsepower (211 kW) and 250 lb-ft of torque (253 Nm) at 5,000 rpm and is paired to a six-speed manual transmission with electronically limited performance and steering.
It comes with a 17-inch touchscreen instrument panel with six-speaker stereo sound.
The 2018 model is powered to a 4.5-liter turbocharged four-stroke gasoline engine delivering 260 horsepower (225 kW) at 6,400 rpm and a 7,500 rpm top speed.
The vehicle is paired with a six speed manual transmission, which offers the option of dual-clutch, or manual, automatic transmission, with paddle shifters.
The 2017 model is equipped with a 6.0-liter V-6 diesel engine producing 261 horsepower (227 kW) as well as a 4,200 rpm top-speed.
The Lexuses Super Sport comes with an all-wheel drive system that comes standard with the 2017 model.
Lexus said that it will offer more information on the new model in its annual sales and financial results conference call with analysts on Wednesday.
The company will release more details about the new Lexus in the coming months.
