How to watch the Irish football league
When it comes to Irish football, the national team is the most-watched in Europe, but the league is a lot less popular in Ireland than in Britain and France.
Irish football is the world’s biggest league, with around 2,000 games every season.
The sport is the fastest growing sport in Europe.
There are around 3,000 fans playing the sport in Ireland, which has the second highest average attendance of any sport in the world behind the US.
It’s a lot more popular in Northern Ireland, with a population of about 12 million.
It has also been the subject of a series of scandals, including a series in which Irish players were accused of sexual assault.
The latest scandal involves allegations that several players, including striker John Collins, were filmed making a vulgar gesture at an Irish girl during a match against Italy.
Collins has denied the allegations, but a report into the scandal published in The Times newspaper said it was “highly likely” that the gesture was not in fact made by Collins.
Here’s what you need to know about the league, which is playing a home game against England on Saturday.
