NFL owner says he is “proud” of his franchise’s playoff victory
NFL owner Robert Kraft has a message for fans of his team.
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Minnesota Vikings 28-13 on Sunday night to win their second Super Bowl in three years.
The Eagles won the game in a shootout.
“I’m proud of our team, we’re going to have a great team for a long time,” Kraft said on a conference call with reporters after the game.
“We’ve just got to be ready for a great season.
We’re going get to work, we’ve got a lot of work to do.”
Kraft also said he has “a lot of confidence” in his franchise.
“You know, it’s one of those things that you always have to be focused on what you can control,” Kraft told reporters.
“If you don’t control the situation you’re going into, you’re not going to win a championship.”
Kroger is a former Eagles quarterback who was the team’s offensive coordinator in 2011.
He was the coach of the Washington Redskins from 2008 to 2010.
Kraft has been a frequent critic of the league’s owners.
The NFLPA recently voted to unionize and it is expected that Kraft and the league will eventually agree to unionization.
